A Case of Milk Secretion without Pregnancy

The flow of milk is copious and good, quite enough to satisfy the child, who remains and sleeps with the grandmother. I am given to understand that about 23 years ago the nursed this child's father, he being her husband's son by another wife. In both instances she states that, previous to suckling, the breasts were quite dry, but no sooner she applied these children to the breast, she found a copious and sustained supply of nourishment within her. An explanation of this strange phenomenon would greatly oblige ? I have read of such things, but never come across it
